Producer Story
Antonio is a pioneer of organic beekeeping in Spain. His hives are mainly in Spain’s Sierra de Guadarrama north of Madrid, with some in Portugal to adapt to climate challenges. Working with his son Dani and son-in-law Ruben, he produces certified organic raw honeys (chestnut, oak, lavender, eucalyptus) and teaches beekeeping. He is sought worldwide for his ethical, organic practices.
Common Uses
Eucalyptus honey is highly versatile:
- Culinary: Ideal as a glaze for meats, and a sweetener for cakes, flapjacks, breads, and teas.
- Skincare: Often used in skincare for its soothing properties, aiding in the recovery from blemishes, acne, and spots.
How to store your honey
To preserve its natural potency and qualities, store the honey in a cool, dark place. Light and heat degrade the enzymes that contribute to antibacterial activity. Keeping it away from light and high temperatures helps maintain its flavour, texture, and active properties.
Why Raw Honey is Different from Processed Honey
Raw honey means it comes from the hive to the jar with minimal interference. Most supermarket honey is processed to look attractive—drained of pollen, heated, and blended. Raw honey varies from batch to batch because it is not factory-processed, filtered, or heated to be uniform. It changes with the season, climate, and bee forage.
Crystallisation
Please note that raw honey crystallises naturally (therefore we cannot accept returns on crystallised honey). We list each honey as runny or crystallised based on our best knowledge, though the state may change quickly. For details, check our Runny Honey Guide or the Wikipedia section on
