Description
Plamen's raw organic multifloral honey has a light and creamy taste. It varies a little from batch to batch as the flowers change due to the year and season, but it tends to have a slight vanilla flavour with light tropical fruit flavours and a hint of wild flowers. Popular with most people and suitable for anyone due to its balanced and light taste.
Colour: a strong burnt orange colour when runny, turning a creamy, buttery yellow when crystalised.
Where does the honey come from? This honey comes from the forests around the village of Panchevo, located in the Sredets Municipality. It is a tucked-away, rural area in southeastern Bulgaria, quite near the border with Turkey and not far from the Black Sea. It enjoys lovely warm weather in the summers and is covered in forested hills.
Who produces this honey? This multifloral honey comes from Plamen. He is a natural, traditional, organic-certified beekeeper, following on from generations of family beekeepers before him. He lives with his wife and son in a little stone and wood house, sat in a meadow, faced by beehives.
Please know that raw honey does crystalise and this is a natural process that occurs mainly due to the natural glucose in raw honey. For more information on why honey sets visit this article and for a more scientific explanation go to wikipedia.

Such a wonderful taste
I love the taste of this honey.
Excellent quality honey
This honey has a complex flavour, sweet but not too sweet. Perfect for tea, yoghurt and cereal. Tasting this and then some of the local honey bought from a farm shop, that tasted like sugar syrup by comparison - not to mention supermarket-bought honey that tastes even a lower quality. I can highly recommend this product. So glad I discovered The Raw Honey Shop!
Glad they exist
The honey tastes amazing with a lovely texture. Not sugary sweet but how you imagine honey should be with a heavier stickier texture. The passion for the product and explanation of it are so straightforward and easy to understand that I haven’t had to wonder if the honey is genuinely pure or organic or a blend or whether it has added sugar. It’s all there in Tim’s website, covering letter and product catalogue. I’ve spent a lot of years trying to find a supplier like Tim and now I have I can quote my heading glad they exist.
RawHoneyShop is Ace
Always lovely buying from RHS.
So thankful for this shop
Whenever I used to visit my grandmother in Poland she would have the most delicious raw honeys. Could never find anything in supermarkets that would compare. Well this is just as delicious (if not more) as I remember. Excited to try more.
